I purchased this switch a year ago to act as the core switch for my home network. After having issue after issue with consumer networking equipment, I decided to invest in a gigabit network with a Cisco router and AP. I decided that for the price, this was the best gigabit switch for a home network. I was right.

The speed, reliability and features are exactly what I expected. VLANs work great, true gigabit networking and it hasn't needed maintenance since its initial setup.

Not everyone will be looking for enterprise networking gear for their home, but if you are - this is your switch.
