After spending a year trying to decide what I wanted and what I could afford--or was willing to pay--I narrowed the decision down to a handful and after reading reviews about the brands the Asus was the best by far. I did not want windows 8 but I did want as much power as I could get for my money. I also wanted to be able to transfer my printers etc without any problems from my windows XP to windows 7 and I was able to without a hitch. This was and has been the easiest set up, installation, that I have ever been through. If there would be one complaint it is that there were not enough USB ports but that was an easy fix with a hub. The machine is quiet, quick and far exceeds my expectations. With windows 7 pro core i7, 1tb the only thing to watch is the speed of hard drive--Asus has some that are rather low considering the strength of the rest of the bells and whistles. This one was perfect. Thanks ASUS for a great product.
