The RAVEN RV02 - E is an evolution of the original RV02 case that aims to provide even more accessible performance and utility. Making a debut for the first time in a tower chassis, SilverStone � s own � �Air Penetrator-Inch 180mm fans are included in the RV02 - E for improved air intake efficiency and flexibility. The fan frame of the Air Penetrator fans provide enough fan blade protection and increased air focusing ability that they no longer require installation of fan grille. Hot - swappable hard drive cage was also implemented to facilitate installation at the expense of losing the 8th expansion slot. However, all other features are intact such as fully filtered intake system, 90 degree motherboard mounting, all black interior, liquid cooling support, and fan speed switches. For enthusiasts not looking to use more than two or three graphics cards, the RV02 - E should be a great alternative to the fantastic original RV02. Now updated with USB3.0 ports.

I love this case. I've gone through a few cases (Rosewill TU-155, Sunbeam Transformer, NZXT Phantom, this). I definitely have to say this is the best case I've ever owned. The design is superb and works pretty well, although another exhaust fan wouldn't hurt. It's flipped so your motherboard panels are on the top instead of the back. This is extremely effective since cold air sinks, and heat rises. Basically, the 3 180MM fans at the bottom pull in fresh cold air for your components, and pushes it right out at the top. This also creates positive airflow pressure (more air coming in, than going out), which means less dust.

The metal is pretty thick, it doesn't feel cheap or flimsy. It's well painted, scratch resistant The plastic used is decent quality. It kind of is a dust magnet/fingerprint magnet. But not as much as the Phantom's glossy plastic finish. The frosted piece of acrylic where the blue LED's are housed diffuse the light so it's not annoyingly bright.

The only thing I like better about the Phantom is the cable management. While this case isn't bad with it, it could be better. I wish there was more room on the back side where you hide all your cables. Mine kind of bulges from all the cables, but I'm sure if I went back and made it neater it would be okay.

The case is a bit wide, I had some trouble getting some of my cables to reach without being stretched to the max with my Corsair HX1000W PSU.

Over time I've realized how convenient the top access is (although it's kind of annoying taking off the top cover, putting it back on, etc, but you can just leave it off) compared to a traditional layout where everything is in the back.

I had to go through an RMA with Silverstone's customer service since one of my 180MM fans died shortly after I got this case. They handled it very quickly, had a new fan within 3 days. This was my first product from them, and that was a great first impression, both for this case and their service.

I would definitely recommend this case to another enthusiast. It's a great case, sleek, but not overly flashy like the Phantom. This was perfect for me. Although, anyone wanting to do a water-cooling setup -might- want to consider a roomier case. Not saying this case can't do it (it has designs for it), but it will be tight.
