If money is no object, then for sure a Marshall Monitoring system with all its bells and whistles or some other Pro Monitoring solution will be the way to go. But for people on a budget in the amateur/semi pro arena, this is a great monitoring solution. It is not full HD, but does an excellent job of down converting, resulting in a nice crisp picture. It takes readily available generic battery packs made for common camcorders (check from the list of battery types it takes in the user manual)which conveniently clips onto it's back side eliminating the hassle of cable management which can be a nightmare on a run-and-gun shoot. While I would not rely on it for correct exposure, it is a great solution as an aid for manual focus.

Although our first KVM had 6+ keys that didn't work; I had a great experience with Amazon completing an advanced RMA!

Pros:
The unit has a very solid feel. The screen is very stiff when opening (which I like), not flimsy and shaky when typing. The KVM does not flex much with hands resting on the keyboard.

Cons:
The screen is a little fuzzy and not as clear as I'd expect from a quality LCD

Cisco Systems 7-Port Network Security Firewall Appliance (ISA550BUN1K9) Review

I bought and installed the firewall and had my network up and running with one WAN interface and a DMZ in minutes. Now the problem...

The cisco WAN interface is connected to my corporate network and keeps dropping my internet connection.

Using the built in packet capture utility, I noticed that the cisco WAN interface is incorrectly responding to ARP requests that are destined for my Corporate Gateway which results in a duplicate IP address.

Example:

Corporate Network: 10.0.0.0/24
Corporate Gateway: 10.0.0.254

Cisco WAN interface (static ip):
IP: 10.0.0.240
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 10.0.0.254

The cisco wan interface will respond to ARP requests for 10.0.0.254! The corporate gateway should be the only one responding to these ARP requests. So now I'm getting a duplicate IP address of 10.0.0.254 (corporate gateway)

I have the latest firmware 1.1.17 installed

I also tried configuring my cisco wan interface with a DHCP address and same problem is happening.

UPDATE:
I opened a support case with Cisco. They online/chat support was awesome. They helped me within a minute of signing on to chat and worked with me for a few hours troubleshooting my firewall. It turns out I had a defective unit. I received a replacement unit within 24 hours of opening up case!!! The replacement firewall works great.

I changed my stars from one to four just because of the tech support & ease of use. Thanks to Chris Bigelow @ Cisco!!
