I bought four of these HDDs for my home made NAS and they are working great and fast enough.
They have really impressive performance for green HDD. Comparable to WD Green drives, these are the best.
I host lots of services on my NAS for many users(~20). No lags, no problems, everything works great.

Don't worry that they are SATA III, but you have SATA II interface, on these and almost all non-SSD drives you'll not gain extra performance at all.
To get at least 3-5% of extra speed on SATA III, you HDD drive should be able to read/write at least 220-230MB/s.

Update 2012/04/28: Everything is still working very good. Ubuntu Server has been upgraded to 12.04.
