I chose 5 out of 5 because it performs well for my needs. I haven't tried other KVM switches so have nothing to compare it to. I bought this model because it supports USB 3.0 which is indicative of it being a recent model.

Pros: Works right out of the box with Windows 7 / 8. Switching functions work fine with a wired or wireless keyboard

Cons: It takes two or three seconds to switch between machines. This is probably to be expected with most KVMs.

Overall I would recommend this product. It is a tad pricey, but worth it.
