This works great. Seriously worth the price. I'm using it on a 2012 Macbook Pro Classic (Non-retina and running Lion 10.7.5) and it works extremely well. No fired hard drives or random un-mounting on both the USB 3.0 and firewire 800 hubs. Also works with my Saffire Pro 12 (fireiwre) well with out any problems.
