The product works well and has a range on par with similar business class units (older 802.11 'g' type). The support of VLANs and multiple security profiles makes setting up multiple user types (Employee, Guest, etc.) with different accesses easy with the right switching equipment. The unit also supports PoE, BUT requires two 802.3af cables to run in 3x3 MIMO mode (it can be accomplished using a single PoE+ '802.3at' cable also). I used a Netgear GS510TP switch which supports VLANs and POE+ to uplink this device and everything works well.As usual with netgear, the interface is not intuitive and has room for improvement but gets the job done. Additionally, there are other features that seem to better turned off. For example, I found that the automatic 20/40 channel width caused problems and was better left at the default 20 (your millage may vary). In addition, the band steering seemed to cause similar issues and disconnects, so I turned that off as well.
I would buy this again as the minor faults are primarily encountered during set-up and day-to-day usage has been stable once configured properly for my use case.
