I have owned this for a month now. Very fast chip. Running it 24/7 at 4Ghz (133x30) on EVGA P55 FTW 200.I still don't know what the safe max CPU VTT is for this Lynnfield chip. I have seen some documentation that says 1.21v is the max and I have also seen some that says 1.4v is the max. Again I am talking about Max CPU VTT and NOT the max CPU core voltage, which many of you are probably thinking of.
I have had it to 4.13 Ghz, but benches were the same as 4Ghz. 4Ghz idles at 27C and loads at 67C with a few hours of Prime 95. 8 hours of Crysis and BFB2 only loads it to about 50C Max.
Hopefully the max safe VTT is indeed the 1.4v, Once I find out for sure I'll take this puppy to 4.3 to 4.5, Until I know for sure I am using 1.15v VTT with the 4Ghz with fully loaded 1.27v VCore
Some enthusiasts might buy the 860 for a little less money, but I think the higher base clock and the unlocked multi's of this chip are MORE than worth a few extra dollars over the 860.
