Vivotek PZ8111W Surveillance/Network Camera - Color Review

I had an older model that was in use 247 for 6+ years. It finally died during a thunder storm. Do not know whether it died of old age or because of electrical surge. The thunder and lightning woke me up in the middle of night like a bomb had dropped.

My wife said we must have another one like it. I bought this one from the same brand. Took me about 15 minutes to set it up including screw in the mounting plate. This newer model definitely is much better than the old one. The pan, zoom and tilt were all much smoother. The video is smooth not jerky like the old one. The image quality is fair. But it is quite sufficient the purpose it is intended. If I were nit picking on the video quality I will just have to mount my $2K video camera, not. I am happy with this unit.
