Iomega Prestige 2 TB USB 3.0/USB 2.0 Desktop Hard Drive 35182 Review

I purchased this drive so I could back up my computer and many media files, and to relocate some files from a very old and very small hard drive. After purchasing this drive I learned something that is not listed in the product description. This drive does not work with windows backup, or basically any other system imaging software, due to its sector size (4k vs the standard 512). Iomega support found on their forum blames this on Microsoft, and Microsoft blames this on the hardware. Regardless, avoid purchasing this drive until it starts working with back up programs.

If you're just going to use this to hold files and don't mind manually transferring and re-transferring files should something happen to your computer, this is fine. But for the price, I expect more.

Dell 2300MP Review

This product was advertised as NEW for $189.00, but it's obviously Not New. The casing looked to have some ware spots and the reflective lens on the inside was far from new with smug marks that couldn't be cleaned. I put it in to see if it at least works and after about 5 minutes it already started flickering and was not able to maintain a constant color. My old bulb that I was replacing works better and looks better than the so claimed NEW lamp I purchased. I have filed a claim and will wait to see how this is handled and will complete my review with either a positive or negative ending. More to follow.

Result of submitting my Claim(4/12/12): Hello, me again. I wanted to update my March 28th comment. After putting in my claim I was contacted by the company that sells the bulbs very quickly and was offered an apology for my troubles and an option to fix the problem. In a nutshell, they offered me a refund or replacement with no questions asked. I opted with a replacement which came fairly prompt. The new product appears to work just fine and I'm now a happy customer. I really appreciated their quick response and resolution to my problem. I think they did an excellent job dealing with this issue and I would use them again if needed in the future.
