Product Description

The CyberPower BP48V75ART2U (48V) external battery pack significantly extends run-time during power outages for Smart App Sinewave UPS models PR1000LCDRTXL2Ua, PR1500LCDRTXL2U, PR2200LCDRTXL2U, PR3000LCDRT2U and Smart App Intelligent LCD UPS models OR1500LCDRTXL2U and OR2200LCDRTXL2U.The BP48V75ART2U external battery pack houses eight (8) 12v 9Ah batteries, connected serially in two (2) strings of four (4) batteries. It is designed to match the appearance of the Smart App Online UPS models and can be similarly mounted in 2U rack or tower configurations. A battery data link transmits the unit's diagnostic vitals to the UPS display for real-time monitoring and a heavy gauge power cord, adapted with plug-n-play DC connectors, permits the battery pack to be easily hot-swapped, ensuring continuous operation of critical systems, during normal UPS maintenance. Rugged, industrial-grade metal construction - meeting the same standards as the UPS models - allows for installation of the unit in demanding environments. A Three-Year Warranty ensures that this battery pack has passed our highest quality standards in design, assembly, material or workmanship.

CyberPower 9Ah UPS Battery Pack, BP48V75ART2U Review

Pretty simple, straight-forward product. Plugged it all in "live" (with the main unit up and going the whole time) and let it fully charge. Configured the management card of the UPS to be aware of the additional battery pack. Did a run-time test and it performed as expected. I've got a full rack of home automation, home storage systems, and audio-video gear all running through it and I get 1.5-2.0 hours of run time. If you have a CyberPower UPS, add a battery pack and enjoy the security of being UP for a long time.

Microsoft Bluetooth Number Pad CYD-00001 Keyboards & Keypads

Microsoft Bluetooth Number Pad Review

I bought this after an exhaustive search for what you might think would be a popular item. I have a new, beautiful 27 inch iMac, but the bluetooth keyboard from Apple, and even the one from Logitech, lacks a number pad. Why this is so, when the previous generation of bluetooth Apple keyboards were full keyboards, and why Logitech can't make a bluetooth instead of only a USB version, I have no idea. But I use the number pad all the time and wanted a bluetooth version.

This one fits the bill. I would have to say that its color scheme fits the new iMacs better than the Apple keyboard (black instead of white). The item feels solid and the key action is similar to the Apple. It pairs with the iMac without difficulty. I take away one star simply because of its annoying property going to sleep every 15 minutes if not used. This means that when you first use it after that length of time it takes a few seconds to "wake up" and pair itself before the numbers you enter appear. Once you get used to this it is not a big deal.

Thanks, Microsoft, for providing this, and shame on Apple for making me put an item with a Microsoft logo in front of your otherwise outstanding system....

HP 14" EliteBook, Intel Core i5-2450M 2.5GHz, 4GB DDR3, 500GB HDD, DVDRW, Windows 7 Pro Notebook Review

I purchased this from TigerDirect.com and the product description page stated that it weighs 4.56 lb. It weighs at least 5.5 lb and probably closer to 6 lb. For that weight you can get a 15" ultrabook that will cost less, comes with a new 3rd generation Core i5, a HDMI port, and has a nicer screen. Contacted TigerDirect to return it but you have to get an return authorization from HP first. FYI, I tried to post this review on the TigerDirect.com website but the review never showed up...

Dell Inspiron 17 i17RM-2258sLV 17.3-Inch Laptop (Moon Silver) Review

Purchased a 10 inch tablet and it just did not work for her - no real key board and going from a 15" laptop to 10" tablet screen just was to frustrating. So back it went and instead went larger and up to date with this excellent laptop from dell. Clean, quick processing, excellent screen with 900 pixels instead of 700, and lastly don,t let windows 8 scare you. The new dash board style is easy to learn and I honestly think a touch screen would even complicate it for her (65).

So bottom line she loves it and I am happy too. Great overall value with good specs and quality from dell.

Thanks amazon!

Dell B1165NFW Laser Multifunction Printer - Monochrome - Plain Paper Print - Desktop (74M45) - Review

I recently purchased an Apple iMac. Unfortunately, my existing older Canon laser all-in-one printer was incompatible with any Mac OS. I had also recently acquired an iPad and iPhone that needed wireless printing capability, so a year-and-a-half ago I had purchased an HP wireless inkjet all-in-one printer. That works like magic, except keeping it in ink comes close to the US debt limit. I needed a Mac OS-compatible monochrome laser system.

I searched the market for about four months. The Brother HL-2280DW seemed to best fit my needs - wireless, print/copy/scan (no need for fax), and auto-duplex that most folks said worked well. It got many good reviews, but it also got many bad reviews. The one thing that most scared me off was the wireless software maybe was, but probably wasn't easily compatible with Mac OS or iOS systems without app workarounds. So I kept watching the market hoping something new would be released.

After a few months a new printer quietly appeared without much internet identification nor fanfare, the Dell B1165nfw. There were extremely few reviews, and what was out there was inconclusive. I learned it's essentially the same thing as the Samsung SCX-3405FW/XAC, which had mixed reviews with enough negative to steer me away. The more I searched and compared specs, the more confidence I got in the Dell system, found a huge price break from Dell, even lower than Amazon, and decided to take a chance.

It recently was delivered and I was amazed; it set up wirelessly in moments. Once connected to my iMac, our other systems including a MacBook Air, two iPhones, an iPad, and a Dell Windows 7 laptop all connected in single digit key strokes or taps. The print quality is superb for a home office printer, the mechanism is relatively quiet compared to most printers. Scanning and copying work well, but I don't intend to use the fax and can't comment on that.

In the disappointment department...and I knew these before I bought it...there is no auto-duplexing, but there are printing steps for manual duplexing (this cost a star in the overall rating). There is no separate guide for envelopes or other non-standard-sized media, and there's no cover for the paper tray.

Another issue raised by other reviewers is the full-up toner cartridge has an approximate 1500 page capacity, somewhat low to other printers in its class. Given the current price of a replacement cartridge, that makes the printing price per page higher than average. However, 1500 pages are probably two years' production for my needs, if it works as advertised.

All of those issues, given the very low price I paid, are minor and have little impact on overall capability, which is what I was searching out. The Dell B1165nfw has the features I most wanted. I am very comfortable with a product manufactured by a company I've bought many other systems from and trust. I am quite glad I took the leap - it is a great value for the price.

This is my initial impression. Should anything change, I will come back and update my review.

MC361 Mfp Color Laser E/f/p/s Adf USB Enet 1200X600 25/23PPM 120V Review

I rarely write reviews but I thought I should on this one.

The cartridges are not refillable and you cannot run after market cartridges on this machine. The cartridge has a microchip that when the ink runs out it kills the cartridge. If you refill the cartridge the machine will think the cartridge is out of ink. See response from OkiData below.

I contacted OkiData Customer Service to validate this. Here is my response to their response.

Hi Travis,
Thanks for the quick response and thanks for clarifying my question. Unfortunately, I will be returning my OkiData MC361 printer as a result of this information. The cartridges are difficult to find and they are extremely expensive. My price is over $400.00 to replace all the cartridges - I paid $300.00 for the printer. I respect OkiData's decision to do this, however, very few if any other printer manufacturers follow this policy. I find it is a lack of respect for the environment and not an ethical printer to own.

I will be posting this information on other forums to alert other people of this cartridge feature.

It's really too bad because the printer is nice overall. It's unfortunate that the sales team felt that they could sell a printer like this. In this day and age with so many green technologies and environmentally friendly options OkiData decides to do the exact opposite.

Regards,

Neil

Neil,

There are microchips in the toner cartridges to ensure you are using genuine Okidata toner cartridges and to automatically reset the counter.

Oki data does not sell toner refill kits therefore if you attempt to use a toner refill kit, it is not genuine, Oki recommended toner and will not be recognized by the printer. This prevents you from damaging your printer.

If we can do anything else for you in the future, please don't hesitate to ask!

CybertronPC Doom II GM2113C Desktop (Red) Review

just got this pc today and its working good so far. if your not too familiar with desktops just remember to open the side panels to remove the foam inside like they warned me. also theres an antanna that goes in the back of your computer for wifi and theres 2 hdmi ports. one is the motherboard and one in the lower port is the graphics. you want to connect it to the graphics. my specs seem to be like they are advertosed. i have the gtx 780 same processor and the stock speed is 3.5 of course this one can be overclocked and the turbo boost is supposed to be 3.9 although havnt tested yet. Mean while im just waiting for my files to transfer over to my external hdd so i can put them into my cybertron pc. Really exited to try this with skyrim and the most demanding enb mods. great so far. UPS was draggin @S# though. but my package seems undamaged so far. so far nothing seems wrong but I will update if anythings changed
